San Pancho, Nayarit, Mexico – The streets of San Pancho are preparing for a wave of energy and teamwork as Entreamigos gears up for its fourth annual Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser on February 28. This community event offers a unique way for residents and visitors to explore the town while securing the future of the region’s most comprehensive community center.
From its humble beginnings at a kitchen table in 2006, Entreamigos has transformed into a massive, sustainable facility that serves as the heart of San Pancho. The center manages an extensive recycling program, a bilingual library housing over 10,000 books, and various educational workshops. By participating in the upcoming scavenger hunt, teams directly fund these essential services, including local scholarship programs and town beautification projects.
The event encourages a spirit of play and discovery, moving away from the traditional format of formal galas or auctions. Instead, participants form teams of up to six people to navigate the town, complete lighthearted challenges, and interact with the local community. Past participants have described the experience as a joyful adventure, often involving decorated golf carts and a series of “photo missions” that require teams to engage with residents in creative ways.
Becoming a part of the event is designed to be a collaborative process. Entreamigos is currently seeking enthusiastic team captains to lead groups of friends or family members. To qualify for the hunt, each team is tasked with raising $1,000 USD (or $20,000 pesos) by February 23. To make this goal achievable, the organization provides every captain with a digital media kit and an online fundraising platform to help streamline the donation process.
Previous team leads have noted how manageable and rewarding the role is, thanks to the structured support provided by the Entreamigos staff. The focus remains on “raising FUNds” through shared experiences and laughter, ensuring that the community center can continue to provide a safe space for learning and environmental stewardship.
Those interested in captaining a team or learning more about the event are encouraged to contact the organization at info(at)entreamigos.org. Joining the hunt is not just about the competition; it is a meaningful investment in the social and environmental health of San Pancho.

Located at Av. Tercer Mundo No. 12 in San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico, Entreamigos is an active community center whose primary focus is to increase educational opportunities for the children of San Pancho.
