Alomía Zegarra explained that Ecatepec is the second most populated municipality in Mexico and the municipality with the largest number of people living in poverty and extreme poverty, and that its population of older adults is greater than 200,000 people based on data from the Council National Evaluation of Social Development Policy (Coneval).
