Puerto Vallarta to Welcome 23 Cruise Ship Arrivals in April

Puerto Vallarta is set to welcome 23 international cruise ships this April, matching last year’s arrivals for the same month. According to the National Port System Administration (Asipona), these visits will provide a strong boost to the local economy, benefiting tourism-related businesses across the region.

Among the scheduled arrivals, two days will feature double cruise visits, and two others will see triple arrivals. On Thursday, April 10, the Carnival Panorama and Norwegian Joy will dock together, followed by another double arrival on Sunday, April 27, with the Nieuw Amsterdam and Caribbean Princess.

The triple arrivals are scheduled for consecutive days. On Tuesday, April 22, Puerto Vallarta will host the Navigator of the Seas, Carnival Panorama, and Zaandam. The following day, Wednesday, April 23, the Discovery Princess, Coral Princess, and Eurodam will all be in port.

That same week, the Serenade of the Seas is also set to arrive, making it a particularly busy time, with nearly 20,000 cruise passengers visiting and generating an estimated $2.5 million in economic impact.

The first arrival of the month is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, with the Carnival Panorama. In total, two ships will dock that week, followed by five more the next. Adding to the excitement, Asipona Vallarta reports that the Mitsui Ocean Fuji, formerly the Seabourn, will return after being acquired by Japanese company MOL Cruises.

March cruise arrivals concluded on Saturday, March 29, with the Zaandam. The ship, on an 11-day voyage through the Mexican Riviera and the Sea of Cortez, originally departed from San Diego on March 22 and is set to return there on April 2. Before reaching Vallarta, it stopped in Mazatlán and later continued to Manzanillo, carrying 1,393 passengers and 578 crew members.

With a full schedule ahead, Puerto Vallarta remains a favorite destination for cruise travelers, bringing a wave of tourism and economic benefits to the city.
