Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Cabaret favorites Nicolas King (the longest-running Chip in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) and Seth Sikes (associate director for Broadway’s The Band’s Visit and The Nance) have joined forces for a limited concert tour entitled The New Belters, which will debut at The Palm Cabaret for 2 shows only on Sunday, Dec 31 & Saturday, Jan 6 at 6 pm.
King and Sikes have brought their exuberant American Songbook repertoire to nightclubs across the USA and are thrilled to present this exciting performance to Puerto Vallarta audiences.
King and Sikes joined forces for the first time to celebrate the late Judy Garland’s 100th birthday. King says, “Seth and I share similar musical tastes, and watching him perform is a joy.” Sikes adds, “Like me, Nicolas respects the artists who paved the way for us, and treats the material lovingly so it soars. He’s an enormous talent, and I’m honored to share the stage with him.”
King toured the country as Liza Minnelli’s opening act, and has performed on stages worldwide from Carnegie Hall to The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Sikes is one of New York City’s top draws, regularly selling out-shows at NYC’s 54 Below with acclaimed musical tributes to Judy Garland, Bernadette Peters, Barbra Streisand, and more.
