This January lineup spans beloved tribute shows honoring music icons such as Amy Winehouse, ABBA, Freddie Mercury, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Sinatra & Bublé, Beyoncé, Céline Dion, and Bruce Springsteen. Fans of drag and cabaret will also find plenty to enjoy, with acclaimed performers including Evita Loca, Varla Jean, Miss Conception, Sutton Lee Seymour, Tynomi Banks, Diva, and Cecille taking the stage throughout the month.
Adding even more range to the schedule, Broadway stars Karen Mason, Ava Nicole Francis, and Stephanie Pope bring their celebrated voices to Puerto Vallarta, alongside the playful and eclectic sounds of John & Jonah and Zoe Lewis. Mother Mayhem – Lady Gaga Tribute show starring Maru Prado Conti is a stage journey blending music, theater, and striking visual performance to tell an eternal battle between light and darkness. “Mother Mayhem” arrives with brand-new costumes, custom-designed staging, and reimagined music for this new chapter. Filled with high-energy choreography, unexpected visual shifts, and a never-before-seen stage element, this new show pays homage to “Mayhem,” Lady Gaga’s latest tour, featuring highlights from her most recent album – including Abracadabra, Garden of Eden, and Vanish into You – alongside iconic classics such as Judas, Alejandro, Poker Face, and more. Diva! is back for its 3rd blockbuster season in Puerto Vallarta! Hedwig and the Angry Inch The story describes Hedwig’s search for stardom and love and is told by Hedwig directly to the audience through monologue. The show is in the form of a rock concert and features 12 hard-rocking songs with a live band. Witness the incredible talent of the mesmerizing Jordon Carnegie (Hedwig), and vocal powerhouse Yoalli Guerrero (Yitzak) as they bring this Tony Award-winning show to life. Broadway star Stephanie Pope (Pippin, Chicago, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Fosse, Smoky Joe’s Cafe, A Funny Thing Happened…Forum, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Jelly’s last Jam, and Sweet Charity) brings Broadway magic and more to PV with her show All About Love! Meghan Murphy (Big Red) – Back to Black Puerto Vallarta’s favorite redhead songstress Meghan Murphy “Big Red” teams up with an incredible band, featuring Al “Mimi” Ramirez to pay homage to Amy Winehouse’s iconic album “Back to Black.” This powerhouse collaboration of Big Red’s old Hollywood charm and Latin Band twist on this legendary album, their combined melodies & world class musicality will knock your socks off. Ava Nicole Frances: The Dream That I See. American Idol finalist, and two-time Broadway World Award winner, Ava Nicole Frances is making her Puerto Vallarta debut as part of the Bella Vox Performing Arts Series. Her critically acclaimed show, “The Dream That I See” is inspired by an array of diverse artists including, Renee Rapp, Beyonce, Linda Ronstadt, Ben Platt, and Wicked composer, Stephen Schwartz. Ava’s voice effortlessly moves from Pop, and Broadway to Jazz and American Songbook as her soaring vocals take flight. Varla Jean – The Drowsy Chappell Roan. Varla Jean Merman recently discovered that she had confused herself with Grammy Award-winning pop sensation Chappell Roan. With the feminomenon’s gigantic red hair, over-the-top outfits and saucy songs, Varla realized that Roan has been ripping her off this whole time! As well as all the other current pop princesses! Despite her overall lethargy and low blood sugar, Varla sets out to reheat the recent hits of Chappell Roan, Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish and Miley Cyrus. Zoe Lewis – Fabuloso! Mexican grooves, gypsy swing, world-beat originals with Zoe Wood on flamenco guitar and David Linares on percussion! World traveler, singer-songwriter, storyteller, plate spinner, band in a body, her boundless energy is hard to ignore. Originally from the UK, Zoe has traveled to more than 70 countries picking up musical grooves and tales along the way. Vintage jazz, swing, latin and gypsy grooves played on piano, ukulele, guitar and more! She has toured with the Indigo Girls, Judy Collins and most recently performed with Kate Pierson of the B52s who says “Zoe’s music makes me tingle with joy!” She will be joined by the wonderful flamenco guitarist Zoe Wood and David Linares on cajon.
