Puerto Vallarta, México – The 6th Annual International Friendship Club (IFC) Día de la Amistad 50/50 raffle concluded with an impressive $211,000 pesos in total ticket sales, marking another successful year for the local charities and community programs the IFC supports.
This Valentine’s Day fundraiser brought together a diverse group of supporters at the IFC clubhouse during the Festival of Friendship for a live drawing that distributed half of the proceeds to three lucky winners. By combining the excitement of the 50/50 raffle with a community gathering, the event highlighted the deep connection between the club and its international network of donors.
The top prize of $52,750 pesos was awarded to Cassandra S., a Puerto Vallarta resident who expressed her deep admiration for the organization’s commitment to humanitarian issues and local youth. The spirit of the event reached far beyond Mexico’s borders, as the second prize of $31,650 pesos went to Tom W. in Boston, Massachusetts. In a remarkable act of kindness, Tom chose to donate his entire winnings back to the IFC’s charitable programs to further the work they do within the region.
This trend of generosity continued with the third-place winners, Dave and Michele C. of Saskatchewan, Canada. After receiving $21,100 pesos, the couple shared that their years of visiting the area have given them a profound appreciation for the club’s impact on the local population. Their contribution, along with the selflessness of the other winners, significantly boosted the fundraiser’s final impact.
Because of these donations back to the organization, the total amount generated for community programs reached $158,250 pesos. Drew Wilk, the IFC Charity Fundraising chair, noted that these funds are essential for the various charities that rely on the club’s consistent support. This successful event serves as a testament to the strong bond between Puerto Vallarta and its international community of supporters.
