Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, México – The Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico has announced a series of March activities, ensuring U.S. citizens in the Banderas Bay region stay connected and prepared for upcoming elections. With a focus on civic participation and community building, these gatherings offer resources for U.S. voters and opportunities for social engagement throughout the month.
Central to these efforts is the Vote From Abroad Center, which provides personalized assistance for those needing to register or request ballots. Every Wednesday in March, Voting Assistant Officers will be stationed at Plaza Genovesa in the North Hotel Zone from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.
For those residing further north, a special pop-up center will be available at Restaurante Miguel Ángel in Bucerías on Wednesday, March 18. These sessions are designed to simplify the process of voting from outside the United States, helping citizens meet deadlines with confidence.
For those unable to attend in person, assistance appointments can also be requested by email at votefromabroad.cb(at)gmail.com.
In addition to voter services, a social evening is scheduled for March 19 at Tuk Tuk un sabor de Asia in Colonia Versalles. Between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, attendees can enjoy Asian cuisine and happy hour specials while meeting fellow citizens. The gathering serves as an informal forum to discuss upcoming voting deadlines and chapter news in a relaxed atmosphere. It is an ideal setting for newcomers to the region to establish roots and for long-term residents to catch up with friends.
The month concludes with a focus on civic expression as Democrats Abroad joins Indivisible Abroad Vallarta for a peaceful “No Tyrants” rally. On Saturday, March 28, supporters will gather at Parque Hidalgo from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. This permitted event is part of a global movement highlighting resistance to current political trends in the United States. Participants are encouraged to bring signs while remaining mindful of local regulations, ensuring the focus remains on U.S. policy and neighborly respect.
Together, these events provide opportunities for U.S. citizens in the Banderas Bay area to stay informed about voting, meet neighbors, and participate in civic life while living abroad.
