No Tyrants Rally Set for March 28 at Hidalgo Park

Puerto Vallarta, México – A group of mostly American citizens living in Puerto Vallarta plans to hold a peaceful gathering at Parque Hidalgo on Saturday, March 28, to express concerns about policies of the current United States administration.

The event, titled the “No Tyrants” rally, is being organized by Indivisible Abroad Vallarta, with participation from the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico. Supporters are scheduled to gather from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm for what organizers describe as a permitted and peaceful meeting within the park.

Organizers emphasize that the event will remain focused on U.S. policy issues and will respect local regulations. Participants are encouraged to bring signs, provided they remain mindful of community standards and maintain a respectful atmosphere toward neighbors and the local community. According to organizers, the permit allows only for a gathering inside the park, with no march or activities planned outside the designated area.

Organizers say the planned program will include speakers, songs, and chants designed to amplify messages of solidarity with people in the United States and around the world who oppose what they describe as authoritarian leadership under Donald Trump. According to organizers, participants also intend to voice criticism of what they characterize as insufficient action by members of the United States Congress and the Supreme Court of the United States, whom they say have failed to adequately address actions they view as unlawful.

The March 28 gathering is part of a broader global movement aligned with demonstrations known as “No Kings” in the United States. These events follow a series of large-scale protests that began in 2025. Organizers of earlier demonstrations reported millions of participants across the United States, including an estimated five million people in June 2025 and about seven million in October of the same year.

Organizers of the upcoming rallies believe the March 28 events could draw even larger participation, continuing a pattern of peaceful demonstrations intended to highlight public engagement on U.S. political issues.

Indivisible, a grassroots movement founded in the United States, plays a central role in coordinating many of these demonstrations. The organization supports networks of volunteer groups that mobilize citizens and promote civic participation through peaceful means. It has collaborated with community partners, including groups associated with the 50501 Movement, to coordinate events both within the United States and internationally.

Indivisible Abroad, an affiliated network for Americans living outside the United States, helps organize local chapters around the world. These groups connect U.S. citizens and allies abroad, offering resources, education, and opportunities for coordinated action focused on peaceful democratic engagement.

Organizers of the Puerto Vallarta event note that participation is open to individuals who wish to express solidarity with those who oppose current U.S. administration policies. While most participants are expected to be U.S. citizens, allies from other countries are welcome to attend.

Local organizers reiterate that the March 28 gathering is intended to remain peaceful and respectful, focusing solely on U.S.-related issues while maintaining a positive relationship with the local community.
