Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico – The seventh annual Festival Sayulita, a unique gathering for all lovers of Art, Movies, Music, Drink and Life, is set to be held from January 31 through February 3, 2020.
The hottest party of the year in the Riviera Nayarit’s Surfing Capital, this event was born of magic, the inspiration of its creators, and the support of the sui generis community that encourages culture, the arts and open-air activities, underscoring the Bohemian atmosphere of this idyllic coastal town.
As in previous years, the Festival’s 7th edition will highlight Sayulita’s unique lifestyle through a weekend full of entertainment, culture, food, music and sports. Some of the activities that are part of Festival Sayulita 2020 are:
Cine in the Sand!
Bring a blanket and get comfy on the beach in front of La Terrazola Restaurant on Friday, January 31st at 7:00 pm for a night time showing of a classic Cantinflas film and an animated classic on the big screen. Admission to this family-friendly event is free.
Stumble in the Jungle Fun Run
The Seventh Edition of ‘Stumble in the Jungle,’ a 5 & 10k family fun run, will take place on Saturday February 1st starting at 8:30 am. Runners of all ages and skill levels are welcome to come out and ‘make a run’ for the great prizes being awarded in different categories. The race registration fee is $200 pesos per runner over the age of 16.
Sayulita has Talent
Some of the best singers, dancers and performers in Sayulita will compete in a local talent show to be held at El Centro Creativo (José Mariscal 33, Sayulita) on Saturday, February 1st. The fun starts at 6:00 pm with cocktails and music before the performances start at 7:00 pm. When the show is over, stick around for an after-party that starts at 9:00 pm. Admission to this fun-filled event is $200 pesos per person.
That’s all of the events that have been announced to date, but organizers say that this year, instead of just being a once-a-year multi-day event, Festival Sayulita 2020 represents a renewed commitment to the community’s vision, El Centro Creativo, and all it that it has come to mean for Sayulita.
That means that all of Festival Sayulita’s Cine, Musica, Trago, Vida, and Arte events you know and love will continue year-round. So get ready for pop-up events at El Centro and other community venues as part of daily life in Sayulita.
