Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Join us on Wednesday, June 23 for a very special evening, set among the lush surroundings of the stunning Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. We will be getting together to celebrate friendship and giving, while also enjoying an exclusive menu designed by a selection of Puerto Vallarta and Nayarit’s top chefs. The event has been organized by the volunteer community.
This standout occasion will benefit a local charity dear to our hearts, Pasitos de Luz, which has, for more than 20 years, enabled children with disabilities to achieve incredible things, from walking and talking, to learning to socialize and overcome complex behavioral issues. The charity has also become a touchstone for inclusion and tolerance across the region.
Pasitos de Luz is a lifeline for 130 families, many of whom live on the breadline, in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. All of these families have a child with a disability, with some families caring for more than one disabled child. With very limited government assistance available in Mexico, each of these children is in desperate need of therapy, daycare, special education and other essential therapies.
At its spacious therapy center, set among beautiful gardens just outside of San Vicente, Nayarit, Pasitos de Luz cares for these children Monday to Friday, without charging a cent to their families.
Thanks to specialist services that include Physical Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Special Education, Nutrition, and Music and Dance Workshops, these children are slowly but surely overcoming the challenges they face and reaching their true potential.
Proceeds from the dinner will go towards supporting the vital work of Pasitos de Luz.
