Singing sensation Enrique de Allende will perform an early evening show of favorites from his recent Carnegie Hall NY, NY debut on February 1 & 29 at 5:00 pm. Accompanying Enrique is the fabulous pianist, Mark Hartman. Enrique is truly one of the most talented singers that Puerto Vallarta has ever hosted. His rich, clear, powerful vocals are beyond beautiful and his good looks, smile and friendly interaction with his audience make him an incredible entertainer. Born in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Enrique de Allende has been singing and performing from an early age. His extraordinary vocals and heartfelt performances have been praised both here and abroad. Enrique’s musical training includes 7 years of lessons and coaching with the talented Seth Riggs, Erik Vitro and others. Well-known music producer David Foster says of Enrique: “It’s the new Julio Iglesias, with a sweet but powerful voice.” As a versatile artist, Enrique interprets a wide range of music from Operatic to Big Band to Traditional Mexican Romantic and Mariachi music.
A Tony Award-winning actor known for originating the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in Broadway’s Million Dollar Quartet, Levi Kreis‘ stunning piano/vocal performance is like nothing you’ve ever seen. Musically, Levi’s gospel-rich vocals and church-inspired piano style have defined some of his best-known songs. Infusing Broadway classics with jazz, gospel, country and rockabilly, Kreis’ musical perspective is completely original and flawless. His storytelling and comedic timing will have you in stitches while his ability to embody a song will bring you to tears. Don’t miss this unique and intimate evening from one of Broadway’s Tony award-winning talents on February 26, 28, and on March 1, 4, 6 & 8 at 6 pm.
The Dueling Drag Divas, starring Emmy Award Winner Chi Chi Rones, and New York Times-acclaimed impressionist, Jo Anna, are returning to Puerto Vallarta, where they will perform an All New Show at The Palm Cabaret for 3 shows only on Fridays, February 9, 16 & 23 at 6:00 pm. Bringing their ALL LIVE SINGING, hysterical comedic celebrity impression show back to The Palm for their 11th winter season, the Divas will go head-to-head in an epic vocal clash of the icons! Cher versus Madonna. Mrs. Doubtfire, Jennifer Coolidge, Eartha Kitt and Bette Davis take on Britney Spears. Shirley Bassey throws down against Dolly Parton. And no “Dueling Drag Divas” show is complete without their legendary Drunk Diva Round featuring Liza Minnelli! Branden & James showed up in Puerto Vallarta as relatively unknown entertainers a few years ago. A lot has happened over the last 8 years and, today, this musical duo has skyrocketed to fame. Theirs is an epic love story and a musical collaboration that has taken them across the globe on cruise ships, intimate venues, and large arenas as they share their incredible musicianship and charisma with audiences near and far. The soulful timbre of James on his cello combined with Branden’s emotional and powerful vocals creates a sound that leaves audiences feeling moved and inspired. Cafe Bohemio’s Sol Rose presents a musical tribute to Ol’ Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra. Sol Rose is not only a restauranteur, but a lovely singer. Add on his charming, eccentric personality along with all the musical stars he’s known over the years, and it all adds up to a wonderful afternoon of fabulous entertainment that includes delightful songs and fascinating stories. Don’t miss Sol’s tribute to Sinatra on February 14 & 21 at 4:00 pm.
If you are a Luther Vandross fan, you must see Here and Now, starring award-winning performer Christopher Faison. Through a series of stories and song, he takes the audience on a 60-minute musical journey through the career of one of the premier singers of our time. Here and Now is only here for one night, Feb 17th at 6 pm.
Heralded by critics as “silken voiced”, “a stage dynamo” and “downright thrilling”, Christopher Faison provides some “powerhouse moments” while performing some of Vandross’ greatest hits, including Never Too Much, Any Love, Dance With My Father, and Superstar. “Luther had an incredible catalog of music and a fascinating life. His story of love and longing is one I think we can all attest to,” Faison said.
No stranger to the stage, Faison has been entertaining audiences across the globe for over 2 decades. His numerous credits include the national touring productions of Hello, Dolly, and The Book of Mormon. He has been a Featured Singer for Royal Caribbean International, and has appeared on Broadway in the Lincoln Center Theater Production of My Fair Lady. Christopher Faison’s Here and Now: The Music of Luther Vandross is the perfect show for both novice listeners and die-hard fans.
