Puerto Vallarta Hosts 12th Espontáneo Performing Arts Festival

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The Espontáneo Performing Arts Festival is captivating Puerto Vallarta, showcasing exceptional talent and fostering creativity across the city. Running through December 7, the festival celebrates its twelfth edition, continuing its tradition of bringing world-class dance, theater, and visual arts to the region.

Since its inception in May 2013, Espontáneo has provided a dynamic platform for artistic expression, creating spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and reflection. Over the years, it has welcomed artists from countries such as Germany, Spain, Venezuela, and Argentina, alongside talent from across Mexico, including Mazatlán, Monterrey, and Mexico City.

This year’s program features performances, workshops, master classes, artistic residencies, and discussions, held at venues like the Aquiles Serdán open-air theater (located in front of the Malecón Arches), the Plataforma 322 cultural center, and the La Lija sports complex. Schools and universities are also hosting events, ensuring accessibility for all.

Luis Villaseñor of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board praised the festival, saying, “The Espontáneo festival is further proof that we Vallarta residents know how to organize great events. This international festival brings together the best dance artists in our city and makes them accessible to all residents and visitors.”

Supported by the Jalisco Ministry of Culture and Culture Association 322, the Espontáneo Performing Arts Festival is a cornerstone of Puerto Vallarta’s cultural calendar, enhancing the city’s appeal as a premier destination for art and culture enthusiasts.

With its lively performances and engaging activities, Espontáneo invites everyone to experience the magic of the performing arts in Puerto Vallarta. For a full schedule, click HERE.
