Number of Covid-19 Cases in Vallarta Continues to Rise

Despite the fact that 95 percent of Vallartenses over the age of 12 have had at least one dose of the biological against Covid-19, 1,500 new infections were registered in Puerto Vallarta during the first two weeks of July. Covid vaccinations for children between 5 and 11 years of age will take place in Vallarta between Tuesday and Thursday of this week. About 6,500 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine will be available between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm at the La Lija Sports Unit, in Coapinole, and at the Naval Hospital.

The Vallarta Institute of Culture will offer summer courses for children from 6 to 12 years of age from July 18-29 at all four cultural centers: La Lija, El Pitillal, Biblioteca las Mojoneras and Isla del Río Cuale. The IVC has also started Cultural Caravans, which bring the workshops to different parts of the city on Saturdays.

Aeromar Adds More Guadalajara – Puerto Vallarta Flights

Aeromar recently airline announced that it will increase the frequency of flights from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta, in order to give Jaliscienses more low-cost travel opportunities. The airline will offer up to 54 flights per week and up to 5 daily flights on the busiest days, which will encourage travelers to pack their bags.

Puerto Vallarta Docks to be Expanded for Larger Cruise Ships

The general director of the Administration of the National Port System of Puerto Vallarta, Víctor Francisco Uribe Arévalo, reported that the necessary steps are being taken so that the expansion of the Puerto Vallarta maritime terminal docks, to berth cruise ships of more than 360 meters in length, can begin next year.
