New Shows & Returning Favorites at The Palm in February

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Enjoy those cool, comfortable, nights of February by getting out and experiencing a variety of fabulous entertainment in Zona Romantica. Vallarta is quickly becoming an entertainment destination with many venues offering at least 3 shows per night. 23 years ago, The Palm Cabaret launched Vallarta’s Cabaret Scene and has been leading the way for over 2 decades with quality performances featuring world-renowned musicians.

The month of February includes many returning favorites along with a number of new performances at The Palm.

Miss Butterfly, a Montreal-based drag superstar, is celebrating 20 years as a drag diva. She frequently spends part of the year in Puerto Vallarta performing in the Blue Chairs area of Zona Romantica. The Palm Cabaret was thrilled to have Miss Butterfly’s new show, Out of the Cocoon, debut in January. Don’t miss Out of the Cocoon where you’ll experience superb lip-syncing, 12 costumes, dancers, comedy and more, on Sundays at 8 pm.

The dynamic duo, the Dueling Drag Divas, starring Emmy Award Winner Chi Chi Rones, and New York Times-acclaimed impressionist, Jo Anna, returned to The Palm Cabaret on January 31st at 9:30 pm for six shows only. Chi Chi and Joanna joined forces in Puerto Vallarta 10 years ago and their show, Dueling Drag Divas, instantly became a smash hit and audience favorite! These Dueling Drag Divas perform hilarious spoofs of Cher, Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton, Liza Minnelli, Amy Winehouse, Lizzo, Janis Joplin, Judy Garland, and more! Both Chi Chi and Joanna sing LIVE with their own voices (no lip sync) and both have soaring ranges. Their infamous and uncanny celebrity impersonations will leave you rolling in the aisles. This season their show features everything from pop to rock to jazz standards. Dueling Drag Divas perform on February 7 at 9:30 pm and on Feb 3, 10, 15 & Mar 7 at 8 pm.

Thirsty Burlington presents her homage to 1970s Cher on Feb 16, 18, 20 & 22 at 6 pm. For 30 years now Thirsty Burlington has entertained with her own drag persona and with a variety of character work. But it is undoubtedly her impersonations as Cher, with all live vocals, that continually packs houses and wows audiences. In her current presentation, Cher 1975, Thirsty takes audiences into a time machine back to just one of Cher’s heydays, the mid-1970s and the Golden Age of the Variety Show. And while it’s a solo show, Cher 1975 is structured like a TV show, with vintage commercials and all. When delivering patter and jokes, Burlington hits all the nuances and idiosyncrasies of Cher. But it is when she sings that the jaws begin to drop and the applause flows, as it’s uncanny how much Burlington sounds like the pop megastar.
