Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – ‘Lost Love Lounge’ is a new concert experience presented by Puerto Vallarta favorites Renee Armand, Paul Alemán, and Rick Armand, together again after several years apart. This show features all-live music as Renee, Paul and Rick demonstrate their years of experience performing with renowned, top-tier musicians. Paul is an accomplished, multi-talented guitarist and vocalist with a knack for interpreting popular songs. Rick is a rock-and-roller at heart; a skilled guitarist and songwriter with many years of experience playing with world-famous bands as well as his own groups. They are joined on stage by the legendary Renee Armand who always manages to capture an audience’s soul with her beautiful voice and emotional performances. Renee shares captivating stories from her time as a songwriter to her life on the road, as well as her experiences as a studio singer.
Renee Armand began her professional career at seventeen, performing with John Handy’s fusion band in San Francisco. Renee was discovered at twenty in a bar by Tony Bennett and mentored by Carmen McRae. Renee released her first solo album “The Rain Book” in 1972. Renee has sung backing vocals on albums with John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, Michael Jackson (she also co-wrote the song “One Day in Your Life” for Jackson), Emmylou Harris, and Little Feat.
Renee also co-wrote the hit song “Boney Fingers” with Hoyt Axton and sang the classic song “The Morning After” on the soundtrack for the 1970s disaster movie “The Poseidon Adventure.” She toured with John Denver for several years in the late seventies and has performed in Japan, Europe, The Sydney Opera House in Australia, and Madison Square Garden in New York. Renee released her second solo album “In Time” in 1978 then a third, “Listen”, in 2011.
Paul Alemán began studying guitar at an early age and has been a performing musician since his teenage years. He has developed a reputation for his interpretations of John Denver’s music and, together with Renee Armand, performed a concert that Annie Denver herself attended in 2015. Annie was quoted as saying, “I’ve heard many people interpret John’s music… yours was the best” and “John would have loved that!”. Paul has also written several musicals.
Rick Armand has been performing on stage most of his life, with years of working as a “hired gun” for bands that need the skill and energy only Rick can deliver. He is a veteran studio musician and his skills and experience keep him in high demand. He is a brilliant songwriter and is currently developing a new live show featuring brand new works that will be hitting the stage in LA.
Rick has recorded with major Record Labels and played with musicians like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Bob Garcia, Casey Kasem, Cheap Trick, Jay Messina, Jim Gordon, Jim Horn, New York Dolls, Rick Springfield, just to name a few. He has performed at the Troubador, UCLA Royce Hall, the Vogue Theater in Indianapolis, the Warner Theater in Washington DC, and the Whiskey A GoGo.
Lost Love Lounge is sure to be an audience favorite, as past performances from these 3 amazing musicians have proven to be very popular. This limited engagement happens on March 10, 12, 15, 17, 22 & 24 at 6 pm at The Palm Cabaret and Bar.
