The most important film event in the city and the region, the Puerto Vallarta International Film Festival, will take place from June 8 to 11, 2023. A selection of premiere short films and full-length movies will be presented at various venues throughout the city.
On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, our beloved Puerto Vallarta will be celebrating its 105th anniversary as a municipality, and its 55th as a fully-incorporated city, with a great celebration in El Centro. The commemorative program for this double anniversary will begin at 5:00 pm at Los Arcos del Malecón.

The 2023 edition of the National Youth Beach Volleyball Championship will be played in Puerto Vallarta May 26-28 at Holi Beach, where 4 courts and a 1000 seat stadium will be installed. This event brings together the future beach volleyball stars of Mexico. Admission is free to the public.
From June 27 to July 1 Puerto Vallarta will host 'Al calor del mariachi', a festival that celebrates Mariachi music, culture and tradition through not only performances and cultural displays, but also educational workshops for the new generations of musicians.
